We had a family chalet which is under the trees a few metres back from the see. The family chalets are conveniently close to the main facilities but our was in need of renovation. It is nice that the hotel provide insect repellent etc but might have been needed less if there weren't inch wide gaps around the balcony door. Sheets & towels were in good condition but the furniture was all rather worn. However a pleasantly high number of sockets in each room was a bonus. Our main problem was with all the scooters. Guests are moved around the site in electric trolleys that are quiet (except when reversing) and do not cause any disturbance. However the constant traffic of scooters really spoils the otherwise idyllic ambiance. Security and groundskeepers were constantly buzzing past our chalet despite quite clear signage prohibiting scooters! On several occasions I had to grab my children out of the way as security staff were riding down the footpaths around the resort. The security could have been better, it was a pointless display as you just saying that you're staying at the hotel and you're through. No recording of vehicle registrations or anything. Due to MCO there was only one restaurant open for our first few days. It was ok, nothing spectacular and rather dissapointing to see mass produced frozen flatbreads being used. Not really five star! A wider selection to include such things as yoghurt or cereal would have been nice. As the restaurant is halal it is "facon" and chicken or bacon sausages only. The hotel shop was excellent with most of the bits and pieces that you might want and the prices were not as inflated as at some hotels. The pool is excellent, a shame that the pool bar couldn't open due to MCO however drinks were available from the beach bar. The beach was well kept but be careful of the steep shelf, not the best beach for young children. The Thai restaurant is a lovely location but seriously let down by the food. It was not of a high standard. Throughout the resort the vast majority of the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Read less

However, I fell down twice walking on the paths around the pool. The shanghai plaster finish is too slippery and I had bad scrapes on my knees and elbow when I fell down on two separate days. Perhaps the management need to look into cleaning the walkways. I hope no other guests have suffered the same injuries I have had. We enjoyed our holiday and loved the stay at the hotel. Read less

Nothing seems to be really open. Spa not open. Only 2 restaurants open with sad looking food. Extremely Limited food and drinks choices. Information given not accurate. Breakfast looks like in 3 star hotel. Not coming back. The view is lovely but people need to work harder.

We stayed in a rainforest chalet and had many monkey visitors on our balcony (keep the doors closed). We took advantage of heavily discounted rooms during the restricted movement control order period. The amenities such as spa and bar were closed. The pool and beach were open. We ate once at the dayang restaurant but food was not very good. We didn't try the Thai restaurant which was also open. We went to a harbour nearby for dinner but only one restaurant was open. The final night we took a taxi to cenang beach for a meal. Overall its a lovely resort but felt the restaurant could have been better with faster service. Unfortunately there are very little options nearby for alternatives. Read less
