Shaking up the seaside scene in Varadero, the new Meliá Internacional has managed to find a spot on the resort’s ever-popular sweep of sand, giving you the promise of glorious beach days and hypnotic sea views. Selection of rooms on suites 11 floors divided into two zones: East and West. All rooms have air-conditioning, balcony, satellite TV, coffee maker, mini-bar (replenished daily), safe, iron and board, and hairdryer. Classic Rooms are located on floors 2-9 and have pool/garden views, with 1 king-size bed or double bed and a sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.
All Inclusive of: all meals, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. For a seven-night stay, guests are entitled to one visit to three of the following à la carte restaurants per week (Cuban, Tex Mex, Japanese, Italian and Mexican). All activities and entertainment unless otherwise stated.
Classic Sea View Rooms are located on floors 3-9 with 1 king-size bed or double bed and a sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.
Junior Suites Sea View are between floors 2-9 with 1 king-size bed or twin beds and a sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Wondeful Beach Level hotel, clean and quiet rooms, great beach and pools, lots of sun beds, excellent food/drinks and very nice staff. Operation Manager Almudena is always present and also very helpful for all clients.

Words can almost express what a beautiful time we spent here. To start with a one of the most beautiful beaches on world, 22 km long Varadero beach. Staff is brilliant and they make you feel like you're at home. Even in these troubled times, they all work extremely hard to maintain the highest level of service and enable you enjoy true paradise vacation. You'll enjoy variety of first class food and drinks as much as warm welcome on the reception. I must especially mention all staff in restaurants and bars that goes the extra mile to get to know you and they have all exceeded our expectations.
Direct sea view from our room 9607 was like heaven. Large, very modern and luminous room with double shower and additional bath made this stay even more unique (special thanks to our maid Idami). Level service makes each night has its own theme, so even you're in Cuba, you'll travel from Spain to Mexico and from Italy to Japan. Whether it was music, dance or fashion show (I won't go into details to let you enjoy it without spoilers) you will definitely escape really of living in Covid19 time. Regarding the last, all necessary measures are taken, so if there is a place in the world that you are Covid19 safe, it's here.
I must have forgotten to mention that this is almost brand new hotel (few years old). Gym and SPA are very good and if you are not beach person, there are three pools and kids area with additional pool. You'll have free WiFi access 24/7 which is a rarity for Cuba.
All of this wouldn't be possible without Mrs. Almudena and Mrs. Lisset whom both were extremely kind and helpful therefor made our stay exceptional. Both of them very professional, approachable and friendly and after almost two weeks we felt like we've been friends for years.
Due to all mentiond above we have chosen to prolong our vacation in Melia Internacional Varadero, and after initial 7 days, we stayed 6 days more.
Once again, a BIG THANK YOU to all the staff and see you again soon.

If you’re unsure, you can delay any additional payments by choosing a new time to travel by requesting a call back in Manage My booking for one of our team to look at options. If your holiday is more than 6 months away, you may wish to set up a Direct Debit to spread the cost. This can be arranged whilst rebooking or afterwards in Manage my booking.
We understand that you may wish to change your holiday plans and we appreciate the need for flexibility.

If we haven’t notified you of any changes, your holiday will be going ahead as planned but if you prefer to move your holiday to a later time we can help. You can call our team on 0344 472 9499 who can look at options for you.
Payments are being prioritised based on when the request was made, working in order from March 2020 onwards. We will always try to process refunds at the earliest opportunity, for requests before August our maximum timeframe is 120 days. As we are steadily reducing the maximum processing time for each new request, for refund requests made in August, we expect the maximum processing time to be 80 days, from the date the refund is requested. For those requesting a refund in September, we expect it to be processed within a maximum of 60 days, and then reduce to 30 days for refunds requested in October, before returning to normal levels.
To finalise the amendment, one of our customer advisors will phone you. We need to work through amend requests in departure date order so we can prioritise those with the most imminent travel plans, so you may have a longer wait than usual until we’re able to ring you back. We will help everyone that wants to move their holiday.
