The hotel outside is so beautiful with a beautiful beach. Now inside the hotel is starting to need a complete makeover. It needs new paint, new furniture and new decor. The rooms are pretty big ample space. The food leaves us wanting much more. The world cafe is old, but that’s where you will get probably the best food. Actually the lunch bbq by the pool is really Good. The Portofinos restaurant is not good at all, yuck. El Patio the “Mexican food” is really not Mexican food. They try to make it into this fancy Mexican food and lost its taste. The steak and fish place i think is call Seaside Grill. Is the round glass building does not really open, is always closed. I was lucky enough to find it open once during my entire 5 day stayed. Also go early if you want to get in. If they open they open at 6:30, so go around 6 and have a drink next to pool by the door of the restaurant while you wait. The staff is amazing and very cordial , they go above and beyond to meet your needs, please tip them, and don’t insult them with 10 pesos, that’s about .50 cents. Don’t be surprised if the beach gets flooded with seaweed. Read less

Resort staff for the most part was friendly and accommodating only when it came to dinner at the restaurants was there and issue. Staff can not give an idea of when you will be seated. They are not accommodating for large groups. I had my wedding ceremony here at the resort and the wedding coordinator was to me not at all concerned about my feelings. Transportation form the bridal suite was scheduled but the driver left us as we were walking out the door. Then we were told per the wedding coordinator to walk to the lobby and wait there, no on ever showed up. So myself as the bride had to walk to the beach were ceremony was in the heat in my wedding dress. When I explained to the wedding coordinator she could care less. The photographer was great the day of our ceremony but after when it’s time to retrieve the items listed with my selected wedding package none of the staff was knowledgeable. My package includes 50 printed photos, cd with the photos on it, and a wedding photo album. After going convincing the photo staff of the items listed in my package I was given a white stained photo album twice then the staff at the photo recessions place laughed and mocked me for not wanting those particular photo albums. This was really a terrible experience for a bride. Overall very disappointing when thousands of dollars are being spent. Read less

Stayed at this resort for a wedding. The wedding coordinator was very unprofessional. She only cared about getting paid. She was very un-attentive to the bride and groom. The restaurants still make you wait 40 mins, after you make a reservation, to be seated. I will not be staying at another Dreams resort, ever!

At check in had to wait 3 hours for my rooms, then we found out there was no water in the rooms and they had to repair a main water line that broke, then the prices to buy things at the shop are ridiculous and then at check out had to pay $486 and I get to nyc and noticed they charged me $1036 instead more than double of the correct amount
