The beach is definitely the selling point! We did not spend much time at the resort as the pool is very small, the cafe was closed, lots of people. Nights were very loud. Cabana system we understand was under maintenance so you had to go to the stand to reserve for the next day - always full by the time we got there. Would have been nice to have the online option but towels on the sand had to do. I don't mind that - just hate that we had to pay for something we never got to use. We also paid for the extras - but the slide had a half hour line, the inflatables were not in the water, the rest was mediocre at best. We enjoyed our vacation and the hotel was a decent "home base" but way way way overpriced. Read less

My husband and I are both essential workers. We booked this resort to celebrate our 11 year anniversary after we had to cancel our trip to the Caribbean last year because of the pandemic. After a very long day of traveling due to delayed flights, we got to the resort very late. We checked into our room quickly with no issues. It was just a basic room, but was nice. Shortly after unpacking everything, our A/C quit working. By this time it was almost midnight. We called down to the front desk who promptly moved us rooms and put us up in a suite, no questions asked. It was a relief after such a long day. Our suite was great with a partial gulf view. The beach was beautiful and so relaxing. We were able to get a front row cabana each day which was beyond worth the extra $15. All of the food and drinks were amazing. Service at both resorts were wonderful too. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Joshua at Salty's was AMAZING! We did not bring our kids this time, but there is definitely lots of things for them to do here. We were there for 5 days and only left the resort to try some of the restaurants across the street for dinner or go to the 7-11 to grab some beer! The rooms have a fridge, stove, and microwave in them. Also silverware, cups, and plates! There's also a huge souvenir shop across from the tradewinds side as well as a comedy club that was a lot of fun. My only complaint is that on our last day I ordered a drink in a souvenir cup thinking I would get a cup that had "RumFish" or "Tradewinds" logo on it. Unfortunately it was just a plain clear cup with no logo or anything. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and can't wait to bring the whole family the next time! Read less

I stayed at this hotel four nights for what we had hoped would be a quality getaway with my daughter. Very disappointed! I used 1820 Hyatt points plus I had to pay $700. Upon arrival, I was asked to pay an additional $45 a day for 4 days to cover fees. In total, I paid $900 plus 1820 points for only four nights. The front desk service was… Read more

Upon arrival, I was asked to pay an additional $45 a day for 4 days to cover fees. In total, I paid $900 plus 1820 points for only four nights. The front desk service was poor, the grounds are dirty, the rooms out dated and small and the beach was not what we expected. The website is deceiving, it makes the place appear grand, clean and beautiful. Definitely, not the case. To make matters worse, the people hanging out at the pool til late night were loud and drunk. In order to get a cabana on the beach, you have to wait in line daily and pay extra money. The beach itself is dirty and full of broken shells, rocks and garbage. Will never be back here. Total ripoff!!! Read less

I am taking the time to write this review to save another family from being fooled. I try to look at everything with positivity. However, I just can't do that here. I have no idea how this establishment gets more than 2 stars! We purchased 2 Gulf Front Suites. They were NOT suites. They were dirty, outdated, moldy, dark, hotel rooms. "Newly renovated"?! NOT! The pool was awful and small. The grounds were too small and dirty. The restaurant was small and dirty. There was never enough staff at the front desk. The only bright spot was the bar at the pool and the employees staffed there. Always pleasant. Also...the hotel is right next to a hotel construction site and a bar that had loud music all day and throughout the night. Why did not one mention that?! Stay somewhere else!!! Read less
