*Disappointment started at check in. We were told check-in at 4. We didn't get a room until 6:30PM and had to stand in the parking garage during a straight line wind storm. *Disappointment started at check in. We were told check-in at 4. We didn't get a room until 6:30PM and had to stand in the parking garage during a straight line wind storm. We were told they had 70 people check out that morning, and the rooms weren't ready. Not my problem. They said it would be an hour. It was 2.5 hours. We had to leave our luggage on a cart outside the office, and when the rain started, we ran up and moved it under shelter in the garage.
*Don't use the dryer in the room. Our family had 6 rooms, and someone from every room had black grease streaks on their whites from the dryer. (Dirty gaskets)
*Don't walk around barefoot in the room. Those of us who did, for a short time, had black feet bottoms. It was disgusting. Then any socks we wore were black bottomed too.
*The room was definitely not cleaned properly. There was a half eaten sandwich in the refrigerator wrapped in a paper towel. Hairs in the tub and on the bathroom floor, and all of us had to wash our sheets and comforters. It was so gross! Blood on some, just dirty on others. The comforter in my room was almost brown at the top where you'd cover your chest and shoulders. And not in a Duvet.
*Ugly avacado green drapes, couch and carpeting etc.
*White appliances when others had new Stainless ones
*Laminate coming off the kitchen cabinetry/drawers.
*Our family members were all supposed to be on the same floor and preferable next to each other. Some were on 5, some were on 3, and not next to each other except for one set.
*The elevators were dirty and full of sand and spilled beer almost every day.
*The view was an ocean peek....not ocean view, and looked out over the parking lot.
*Sofa bed was unusable. Not only was it grossly dirty on the surface, but the bed was just springs with a cover over them.
*They advertise every other day cleaning/refreshing of towels, but that service has stopped. There's even a sign in the bathroom that says that, but still not a service. *We had to launder our towels daily, after buying laundry soap.
*The cafe' is a nice feature. The men who work there are great, but the one woman is so nasty to customers, that we were afraid to go back. And adding the 20% tip on to the bill is ridiculous!
*It would have been nice to have some directional signs. There are three different wings with the same room numbers, but they are N,S,W wings. My 85 year old mother got lost several times.
*Rooms were sparsely equipped, especially in the kitchen.
*Doorbells don't work.
*Bathroom for the pool is up on 2. Not convenient.
*Beach is beautiful, but very very deep. Long walk to and from the room.
*It was so disappointing, especially at the beginning. Not getting our room until 6:30 and then having to do all the bedding laundry ruined our first day, or what was left of it. We paid for a full day, and only got 5.5 hours of that day.
Umbrella/chair service was only available 3 of the days of our trip. The guy was nowhere to be found two days, and one day it rained. It may be a third party service, but still, we were counting on the shade.
Courtyard is nice, pool is nice. Bar is expensive! Cafe is reasonable and food is good.
There are other places that are cleaner and nicer for less money. We felt overcharged, for the cleanliness, the check-in experience and the view. I have pictures if anyone wants to see them.
