Great location and value compared to product in the surrounding area. Staff was great. Rooms up to par. Beach/restaurant /shopping within walking distance . Compare prices in area. If you want the pool / on beach and amenities get ready to pay triple. Get the experience without paying for the fluff.

Spring Break trip. I had fun even though they shut the city down for people fighting and causing a uproar. The hotel was okay even though the bar was up and running and their wasn’t any breakfast food.

This was one of the all time worst hotel stays we’ve encountered. Cleanliness, facilities run down and lack of security. Both elevators were broken. Hotel room was disgusting and entire premises needs cleaned. Had a guy attempting to break into a room across the hall for two hours in middle of night. The hotel staff did nothing. I travel for business all over the country, this was by far one of the worst! Read less

Worst customer service. Apathetic staff (except for Jose, who was friendly and responsive). Nothing close to concierge service (barely understand speech of front desk staff). No breakfast available, even for Diamond members. Each day we were told “the boss ordered sack breakfasts but they didn’t come”. Same story for three days. Small rooms.… Read more

No breakfast available, even for Diamond members. Each day we were told “the boss ordered sack breakfasts but they didn’t come”. Same story for three days. Small rooms. Ramp to lobby leads to a locked door, so everyone (and their grandmother) need to luggage their baggage up a few flights of stairs outside to get up to the lobby. One tiny elevator to serve 7 floors. Fits about 3 people. Takes forever. No parking available. Lobby and all common areas are shabby at best. Asked for shampoo and soap on subsequent day but never arrived to our room. This property does NOT live up to the Hilton brand. My loyalty went down a few notches after this stay. Avoid the Hilton Garden Inn Miami South Beach if you expect a pleasant stay with attentive service. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Too much construction in the area, not worth the price compared to other area hotels

When I originally booked, I had it in my mind that it would be a relaxing, quiet beach vacation since the hotel was a bit more north of the main spots of South Beach, but still close enough to be easily bikeable. Reality was far from expected. There’s so much construction going on around the area that there’s a fair amount of traffic noise from drivers honking at each other and it’s a pain to get anywhere, even just walking let alone bike. A lot of parts of the walkway parallel to the beach are closed, so to bike/walk to Ocean Drive/Lincoln Road/etc would involve going along Collins, which is also full of construction with multiple parts of sidewalk closed. Also, while the hotel is just a block across from the beach, the hotel doesn’t have their own beach area to rent chairs, umbrellas, and cabanas from so you’d have to find a public one. The hotel and room themselves were fine. Historic Art Deco building, but standard chain hotel decor inside. Cleanliness was standard and as expected from a mid range hotel brand. The staff were nice, but we were given a room with two queens even though the booking was for a king bed. I didn’t bother complaining because it was Valentine’s weekend and the place was sold out... it wasn’t worth the extra effort for me since we got a really low rate via Trip.com versus the hotel’s website. There was a $400 difference between prices for 4 nights for the same room but Hilton wouldn’t do a price match because the cancellation policies were different by 2 days. Overall I’d give the place 3 stars because the room was clean and I had a pleasant stay overall. But I definitely wouldn’t stay here (or the area) again anytime soon because of all the construction, nor would I ever pay the hotel’s market rate that’s on par with other hotels in the area because of missing things like a pool, parking, and beach amenities that other hotels in the area have for around the same price. Had I paid the price from the Hilton site, I probably would have given 2 stars. Read less
