Stayed at this property for our annual convention with the Most Worshipful Union Grand Lodge of Florida (Prince Hall Masons) third week of April 2021. My first time staying a this resort and it is humongous. Flawless check-in process. Front desk attendant whose name escapes me at the moment did a super job and was professional and enthusiastic. Her attitude exuded... "I love my job". COVID-19 protocols were strictly enforced starting with temperature checks via forehead scanning machines at the entrance to the resort. I had a room on a high floor with an awesome view of the golf course. Food was excellent. I highly recommend the chicken salad croissant sandwich, Cuban sandwich and the chicken wings. Not sure what the secret ingredient was for the chicken salad croissant was but we all loved it. Kudos to the chef and his staff! Plenty of outdoor seating options to enjoy lunch/dinner as well. Overall great hotel with a fantastic customer oriented crew members. Plenty to do in and around the local area. l highly recommend it and I will DEFINITELY be back for another stay in the future. I feel like The Rosen Shingle creek is our new secret hideout. My wife and I spent our anniversary weekend here and it was a great escape without having to actually leave town. Without exception the staff was friendly. There were tons of little touches and attention to detail that I noticed and appreciated. The hotel was busy this weekend, but didn't feel crowded. AnneMarie at the front desk did an outstanding job of both quickly checking me in, but also took a moment to explain the hotel amenities, which restaurants were open which days at which times, other modifications because of covid, and even recommended a late-checkout on Sunday, which we availed ourselves of. She was also very clear about how to get on WiFi, which I later discovered was quite important, because cell service in the building can be spotty. We ate at a Land Remembered and Mi Casa - both outstanding. We enjoyed a dip in the pool, and took a long walk on the nature trail where we saw a pink heron, black ibis, wild turkeys, and golfers in their natural habitat. The proximity to 528 road noise kinda ruins the illusion of seclusion on some parts of the walk, but it was otherwise enjoyable, and because of the foliage, you can't hear or see the highway from the main resort area. I don't play golf, but the course looked well maintained and fun - it almost made me wish I knew how to play. The parking area is quite far from the lobby, which could be an issue for people with limited mobility or during inclement weather. There is a parking fee, but the gate appeared broken this weekend (with an electrical access panel left open for days, which was a bit concerning), so we didn't pay for parking. The grounds were clean, security was ever-present and friendly. We were greeted by almost every staff member we crossed paths with. We will certainly be returning for our next in-town getaway. I felt like a fairy princess! The hot tubs were lovely and open until midnight. I suggest calling to ask which restaurants and bars are open each day as it changes, but the deli market was open all night (at least midnight, it appeared) and has snacks, meals, drinks and convenience items. Walgreens is across the street and restaurants and dinner shows were 7 minutes (2 miles or less) away. Truly top notch for relaxation! Read less

The room was clean and honestly the highlight of the trip. Parking wasn't great. But not that bad compared to SeaWorld. By the way. At no time should you be tempted to visit SeaWorld. It overpriced, over crowded, and ABSOLUTELY no customer service. A terrible experience. Back to the hotel. My son wished it would have been warmer because boy was he upset that he couldn't swim. We arrived a bit late on our first night and the restaurants were closed so we ventured out to a local McDonalds for dinner. But we were able to eat at the hotel on the second night. The food was good and everyone we met that worked at the hotel was helpful and kind. We normally stay at hotels 3 times the cost in Orlando and we were SHOCKED at the value of this hotel. I would love to stay here again with my family. Read less
