We traded in through RCI for a week long stay in a 1 bedroom villa. This was the first time that we stayed here. The resort is beautiful but large. We had a ground floor unit in the Turtle Pond Road area. We had a car but did use the buses sometimes to get to and from the parks. The busses to the parks and Disney Springs seemed frequent and we didn't have any problems. However, getting a bus back at the end of the night was a problem a couple of times. We waited over an hour for a bus from Disney Springs in the late afternoon and also from the Magic Kingdom. Saw multiple busses for other resorts coming and going while we waited. The villa itself was very nice and had everything we needed and we also enjoyed the pool in the Turtle Pond area. We did not go to the main pool area. We ate at Olivias for a late lunch and also had take out one evening and ate outside at tables near the pool area. Food was very good and will go there again. Used online checkin which always very easy. We were transferring from Universal and our room was ready by the time we needed it in the late afternoon. Would definitely stay here again. Read less

Great location for those that want to enjoy some quite time and still be close to all the parks, Great size of rooms and the comforts you expect from a resort. We wish RCI had more offers at Disney Parks!!

Old Key West is a beautiful, well maintained resort spread out over a large area that encompasses a golf course and a stay works well for those with a car. The boat service to Disney Springs and the Bus Transportation System have been affected by the virus so having a car is a blessing. Disney Springs is crowded. The Deluxe Studios are very large. There are two beds, a kitchenette, and a large bathroom. The shower was probably the best we have ever had! Where can we buy one? There is no coffee table or couch - that's the trade off for two queen size beds. We could not find an ice machine in our building - probably closed down because of the virus. The major disappointment was the small 32" TV which made the closed captions impossible to read. If you are not planning to spend time in your room, that shouldn't be a problem. We had breakfast at Olivia's and we were happy to support them as not all Disney restaurants are open. HOWEVER, we were shocked with the $4.29 charge for a glass of milk. The cappuccino at $4.79 was reasonable enough. Check out the outdoor self service behind the restaurant. Read less

Old Key West was good...but then again disappointing. The boat transportation to Disney Springs is CLOSED so DO NOT book this hotel with the false impression that you will have two modes of transportation as we did. Bus times to the parks were decent but bus times to Disney Springs were abysmal! Aside from terrible route times, the Disney Springs bus served as the “official shuttle transportation” within the resort...or so we were told by the front desk (we most certainly did not feel there was ANY shuttle transportation within the resort...and believe me when I say things are SPREAD OUT at the resort...) . This meant it ran a different pick up/drop off route than the other buses. This yet furthermore added to our disappointment and frustration! I shared these concerns/disappointments with the front desk and was basically left with...yup that’s how it is... Ultimately...after waiting through two different bus routes for Disney Springs without getting on an actual bus (due to being full 30 minutes apart...waiting an hour total without getting on a bus) we had to get an Uber costing us an additional $25 in order to make our reservation! Our dinner at Olivia’s was delicious...but make sure you have a reservation. I will add...make sure you have a dinner reservation every night...wherever you want to eat or else you will go hungry. I’m addition the water pressure/temps are not good at peak times so plan on taking a shower in the middle of the afternoon or it will be cold.... Hope this helps others as I wish I would have read more recommendations of the same... Read less

A great place to stay. Rooms are huge and kitchen is well stocked. Staff is friendly and helpful. The soaking tub is a nice feature. Bathrooms are well thought out. We loved the deck for coffee in the morning. The cafe onsite was very good.
