DoubleTree by Hilton Metropolitan - New York City

Midtown, New York

The hotel

In the on-trend East Side, this is a Midtown must for those wanting to see the sights and shop the shops of NYC without having to wander far. In fact, it’s just blocks from the boutiques of Fifth Avenue and treats of Bloomingdale’s, and a stroll from guidebook favourites like Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and Radio City Music Hall. It may be surrounded by iconic architecture, but Doubletree by Hilton Metropolitan holds its own in the style stakes. Originally the brainchild of Art Deco architect Morris Lapidus, it’s been brought back to its former glory while being bolstered by modern traveller musts, like its Met Grill, where you can tuck into full stateside or Continental breakfasts, and its Met Bar, a trendy lounge with cocktails, oversized sports screens, and an evening menu of ‘Met Bar Bites’.

Saying I what I didn’t spend would be refunded. Arrived home waiting for refund never came spoke to the hotel who have informed me that no refund would be sent as the room was not paid for, very unhelpful, as are Love Holidays, never going here again or using Love Holidays, absolutely disgusted the way I have been treated, doubletree Hilton didn’t want to know. This hotel was in an amazing location, within walking distance of everywhere. Not far at from times square. The room was clean and quiet spacious, as was the bathroom. I would stay here again. Good value for money.
