Image of the Tripadvisor rating One of the many hotels in the area being usesd to house homeless & recently released convicts!

Do not & I repeat DO NOT stay here! This is full of homeless & recently released inmates. They are literally dropped off by the bus load! They hang out outside & harass the local residents. Crime in the area has sky rocketed because of the hotels in the area doing this! YOU WILL NOT BE SAFE HERE!!

Staff helpful, good location near most landmarks, good size rooms, clean. Close to shops and restaurants, pubs and clubs.Bus stops just outside to get you further into the city for the attractions further away.

This place is a homeless shelter, literally. The management and ownership should hide in shame as they are a magnet for the hood to be an underbelly. By being so low class a destination this hotel has impacted very negatively what could be a nice area to live in

Virgin Holidays chose The Skyline for us, but neglected to tell us it was situated in a renowned 'gang area' (as so kindly described by our guide on the bus tour!). We can safely say it is a very average hotel; the rooms were fairly clean and spacious, nothing really special stood out to me about the staff, although they were efficient with their service. There is no area for dining, which is a major flaw the hotel are really missing out on. The rooftop pool was like something out of the 70s (literally - in much need of an update!), however the views over the city were breathtaking. It's safe to say, we also didn't feel very safe walking around the area, particular after dark. The good thing is, the hotel is a 5 minute walk from Times Square, so it's location is ideal. Not sure we would stay here if we returned. Read less
