The perfect hotel if you’re looking for a place to stay between connecting flights or before joining a cruise. If you’re looking for a cheaper way to visit Manhattan, this hotel could be the ideal option for you. Trains depart the airport to New York Penn Station for less than $20 dollars return and a journey time of 40 min, so you can shoot into town to catch the sights, whilst staying in a hotel with far more affordable and larger rooms. The rooms here are great as well with really comfy beds, ideal if you’ve just got off a really long flight or have been pounding the Manhattan streets all day. The staff here are very welcoming offering a friendly and efficient check-in services. The Chatfields Pub has a nice atmosphere and is open late, ideal for a nightcap before you head to bed, or for more substantial meals try Mangiare di Casa serving an excellent selection of casual Italian/American New Jersey meals. Best of all even though you’re in the middle of an airport you really won’t hear those airplanes from inside the hotel, it’s like a veritable oasis!

Very convenient for EWR layovers. I walked over from Terminal A and it only took about 8 minutes. Standard Marriott property. Rooms are efficient and clean. Bathroom was tiny with a door that swung in making it a tight squeeze. A pocket door or barn door would be a much better option. Restaurant on-site. Friendly staff.

How hard would be it be to effect a walkway? It would be less than a ten minute walk. In Europe the hotel would connect. Here, you have to get on a small shuttle that runs every 30 min. No social distancing, no protection from other people at all. The first was one was filed up with flight crew members. so we had to wait for another. It was ridiculous. If you think being as near the airport as this hotel is would provide an advantage, it doesn't. You might as well be five miles away. Same van, same difference. Read less

Hotel is very convenient for flying out early the next day. 5 minute shuttle to the terminals. Rooms were very nice and customer service was good. A great thing is you don’t hear planes all night as they must have very thick glass windows which is something I was nervous about. Would stay here again.

Highly recommend this extremely busy airport, everything runs reasonably smooth for the amount of traffic daily. No problems , highly recommend. Shopping is good and snacks and drinks available, duty free is very good.

I stayed here one night due to my flight being canceled and this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel. The room wasn't really that clean, the towels were ripped and washed up. At check in I asked the front desk agents to put my cooler with medication in the refrigerator since this hotel doesn't have refrigerators in the room they gave me a paper to sign and bring back when I check out to get my cooler. At check out the front desk agents took about 35 mins to find my cooler there was no shuttle bus in sight and I had to change my flight since the front desk staff dont know what thy are doing. I emailed Marriot Corp and still waiting on a reply. Due to the front desk taking 35 mins to look for a cooler they lost it costed me a lot of stress and money. This should not happen. Not even shampoo was offered it was all in one container during covid this shouldn't be in a hotel. Read less
